Life Goals

I am currently taking a class at Grace Bible College. On the first day of class we had to fill out a "getting to know you" questionnaire. One of the questions was what is one of your life goals. I know this may not seem like a "noble" life goal to some- but it is an exciting one that started at the beginning of our marriage. Our life goal is to see all 50 state capitals. So far we have seen 10 of them- from Augusta, Maine all the way to Olympia, Washington. I think that the consensus is still that New York has the best state capital building. Anyways- even after 3.5 years of marriage we have not been to Lansing or St. Paul. So finally, this Christmas we went to St. Paul. Not only is that Mark's home state, it was also Caleb's first official capital. He was thrilled. It was really neat to go at Christmas time- the capital was beautifully decorated.
We always take a picture on the capital steps, with whoever happens to be with us (we have one in Maryland with my parents and mom's cousin Carol- yeah Carol!) My only regret is that there was no one around in Oregon- so Betsy is not in the picture with us. So Betsy- if you ever make it back down to the gold man, get your picture taken so I can add it to my book.
Caleb just kept making sure Momma was there. He's kind of heavy to carry around!

Yes! That would be very festive- Natalie needs one too and Caleb can get a little Hawaiian shirt.
