Caleb's birthday

Yesterday was Caleb's first birthday. We decided to have a special birthday breakfast.
Here he is making a huge mess with blueberry pancakes. He really liked bacon.
Of course, he needed a bath afterwards, seeing as he was COVERED in pancakes! So we gave him a soapy mohawk. He wasn't really sure about opening presents. He broke through the wrapping paper and pulled out a block. After that we had to convince him to open the rest. He loved the block soo much!
He was pretty excited when he saw the rest of the truck though, especially when he saw that the entire back of the truck was full of blocks.

Here he is zooming around the room with is baby walker. Of course, it also has blocks, which is the highlight of this toy. Caleb also got to hang out with his buddy Natalie while I went to work, then we all went to the Carter's outlet. Caleb loves clothes shopping. Well, he loves pulling stuff down off the racks anyway! When we got home he had an exciting answering machine message from Grandma and Aunt Betsy that made him laugh. All in all, a good first birthday!
